Take No Tea For A Fever
Written and directed by W. Freedom CookePresented by Freedom Productions
May 8-11, 2025
Synopsis
This hilarious, dramatic, comedy plays out while racial tensions are rising during the protests of the 1960s. Miss Isabelle attempts to offer some peace for her local community with a card game and a few drinks. She is also seeking financial stability for the legacy of her Morrison clan. In the interim, she'll settle for the love of one good man (Mr. Marshall), the safety of her brother, Bobby Lee, and better life choices for her unruly grandson, Jeffrey. Just like some of the characters in her Speak Easy; Church Lady, Mac Daddy, Baby Girl, and of course, Mr. Marshall, there is still time for Isabelle's desires to come to fruition.
