A Midsummer Night's Dream

By William Shakespeare
Directed by Matt Pfeiffer

On the F. Otto Haas Stage
March 2 – April 15, 2017  EXTENDED BY POPULAR DEMAND!

We opened the Haas Stage in 1998 with this beloved comedy by William Shakespeare. Next year, Barrymore Award-winning director Matt Pfeiffer creates a vibrant new production featuring Philadelphia’s most exciting up-and-coming actors, musicians, and designers. Join us for musical celebration of the follies and foibles of human beings (and fairies) in a fresh new staging that promises to be an unforgettable midsummer adventure.

Students Speak Shakespeare - Post Show Discussion
Join us on Saturday, April 1st after the 2pm performance for a discussion with local students about their experience navigating Shakespeare’s language and characters in the 21st century.

“It’s accessible without being dumbed down. Shakespeare’s poetry rolls naturally, his characters are alive, his comedy true. Done right, he’s pretty good.”
