Five-time Barrymore Award winner Mary Martello comes to the Arden stage as the indomitable Mama Rose. Set in the fading days of the vaudeville circuit, Gypsy features a legendary score that includes “Let Me Entertain You,” “Together, Wherever We Go,” and “Everything’s Coming Up Roses.” One of Philadelphia’s greatest actresses takes on Mama Rose – this promises to be a not-to-be-missed event!

Critical Acclaim -

"Now that’s what I call a hit!"
- Philadelphia Magazine Read more here

"Martello has reacted, and elicited reactions, in so many roles on so many city stages over the decades, but never like this. 'Rose's Turn' is one of those moments you don't forget when you see it done from an actress' spiritual core. I won't forget this one."

"Mary Martello, a Philly powerhouse, builds a threadbare Mama out of sensitivity and desperation and sends her on a slowly building journey to the brink."
- Broad Street Review Read more here

"Mary Martello does not disappoint. She brings the house down with her very first rendition of “Some People”. Every musical number thereafter has a wow factor of 10+."
